2 He formed the deeps unknown,
He gave the seas their bound; The watery worlds are all His own, And all the solid ground.
3 Come, worship at His throne,
Come, bow before the Lord, |
We are His work, and not our own; He formed us by His word.
4 To-day attend His voice,
Nor dare provoke His rod: Come, like the people of His choice, And own your gracious God.
Rev, Isaac Watts, 1719

2 Let those refuse to sing
That never knew our God; But children of the heavenly King May speak their joys abroad.
3 The men of grace have found
Glory begun below; Celestial fruits on earthly ground From faith and hope may grow. |
4 The hill of Zion yields
A thousand sacred sweets Before we reach the heavenly fields, Or walk the golden streets.
5 Then let our songs abound,
And every tear be dry; We're marching thro' Immanuel's ground To fairer worlds on high.
